The index, the numbers, and the file
GOLDRUSH is a running index of ways people are making money with AI, where every row names the public source it came from and the figure the source itself states. It is a collection, not a recommendation, and nothing on it is for sale.
The numbers, today
- Rows in the free index
- 111
- Sources in the index
- 10
- First row
- 2023-05-09
- Latest row
- 2026-10-22
Sources as they appear in the rows: Blog, DEV Community, Hacker News, Indie Hackers, Medium, Product Hunt, Reddit, Substack, X, YouTube. The scan itself reads Hacker News, Reddit, DEV Community, Medium and a set of hand-picked newsletters and blogs every six hours. A row only survives if the post states a figure and is a business somebody could actually run; the rest are withheld and counted, not deleted quietly.

data.csv - 111 rows, one per idea: the row id, the date, platform, category, the one-line description, the figure-free summary, the source URL and the link back to the row.
Free to use with attribution. The paid layer - the brief, the cost to test, the competition and the risks - is not in this file and is not licensable.
How to cite a row
Quote the row and its source, in that order, because the figure belongs to the person who posted it:
GOLDRUSH, "<the row's one-liner>", goldrushindex.com/#idea-<row id>
- figures as stated in <the source post>, <date>.
For the collection as a whole:
GOLDRUSH - The AI Money Index, goldrushindex.com (111 rows, 2023-05-09 to 2026-10-22).
What it is not
- Not investment advice, and not a recommendation: every figure is what the source said, not what we verified.
- Not a ranking of people: the order is recency and evidence, and the paid index carries the judgement.
- Not scraped content: each row links to the original post, and the words here are ours.
